Minutes
Legislative District 21 Republicans
Held at Chandler Boys & Girls Club
Minutes of Meeting held May 12, 2010
Chairman Jerry Brooks called the meeting to order.
Prayer—Beth Staley
Pledge—Jeff Vance
Welcome was expressed to all. New PCs, guests and elected officials were recognized.
Jeff Vance expressed his regret for the need to terminate his campaign for LD 21 State Representative. His job at Wells Fargo would not allow him to continue with these plans. He expressed gratitude for all the support from members.
Announcements and info from Chairman Brooks—
• An expression of thanks was given for our fundraiser held last Saturday night. It is estimated that we earned approximately $2,900. Exact figures will be available next month.
• The deadline for petitions and affidavits for precinct committeemen is May 26. Jerry will take them to the Election Office for you if he gets them by May 22.
• Voter Vault applications are available for those wanting to have access to walking lists for your precinct. See Jerry.
• Roxanne Callahan has resigned as 2nd VC. Board met and appointed Rene Lopez to that position, which left a vacancy in 3rd VC position. Al Leibowitz was appointed to 3rd VC, which now leaves 4th VC position open. Any interested please contact Chairman Brooks.
• Decision for the RNC to hold convention in Florida instead of Phoenix was discussed. We have a strong presence in the National leadership. Decision from RNC shouldn’t be made because of the controversial immigration law.
